"Bows, Braids, Sneakers" is an ongoing project that brings together various cultural elements that have been influential in my life. This project focuses on fashion and aesthetics from British, African American, and Sierra Leonean culture. The series is shot in black and white, with one or two items occasionally highlighted in pastel blue. This symbolizes a facet of fashion or aesthetic that does not "belong" to black culture.
