“On the Other Side of the Light is your Hands” is a video collage about salvation. Both Afrofuturism and freedom are talked about as something that is yet to come, a distant future. If Afrofuturism is a thing that we chase, it would be as elusive as catching light. However, in certain moments we have all experienced it. Afrofuturism to me, is about community, honoring our past, and living expressively.
